DONE DEAL – 21-year old star with 3 goals, 2 assists technically as good as Conor Gallagher has confirmed he’ll be a Tottenham player as Top-class sensation signs 6-year deal with Lilywhites, set to start against Wolves

Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has expressed his wish to stay at the club for as long as possible.

The Senegalese footballer officially confirmed his commitment to the club last month by signing a new contract with the club, extending his contract until June 2030.

Sarr joined Spurs from French club FC Metz in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of €16.9 million. He was loaned back to Ligue 1 until the end of that season before finally making his long-awaited debut in north London last January.

Under Ange’s guidance, the 21-year-old is enjoying his breakthrough season and has established himself as a regular starter alongside Yves Bissoumi in the middle of the park. He has made 20 league appearances so far, scoring three goals and assisting two more.

Alasdair Gold, Tottenham correspondent for Football London, shares details of a conversation he had with the star player, in which he expressed his desire to play for the Spurs “for as long as possible”.

Sarr said:

“It’s a great feeling to be part of what’s going on at Tottenham. The club has become like a family to me now, so I’m happy to have extended my contract with the club.”

“The aim is to stay here as long as possible so I can really express myself on the pitch, fully enjoy the fans and work towards winning trophies.”

“I try to enjoy every game. I wanted this season to be a great one for all of us and a good one for me.”

Sarr’s suitability for Ange’s style makes him an invaluable asset for Tottenham, so his desire to stay longer will be a big boost for the club, especially with reports of Barcelona’s interest in him.
