What Tim Sherwood said about Tottenham, Arsenal as he names the EPL Team Spurs fans wants to WIN the Premier League Title after recent defeat to Wolves

Tim Sherwood has said that Tottenham Hotspur fans do not want Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all aiming to win the Premier League title.

What did Tim Sherwood say about Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal fans? Let’s take a look.

Tim Sherwood’s comments on Tottenham Hotspur fans and Arsenal:

Tim Sherwood has been talking about this season’s Premier League title race and the Sky Sports presenter thinks Tottenham Hotspur will have a big say.

The former Tottenham manager said that Spurs fans will want Liverpool or Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season, not fierce North London rivals Arsenal.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League standings with 60 points from 26 games, four points ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who have played 25 games.

Arsenal are third with 55 points from 25 games and Tottenham are fifth with 47 points from 25 games.

Tottenham, who want to sign Festy Ebosele, will play City and Arsenal in April and Liverpool in May.

Sherwood told Sky Sports News (24 February 2024, 12:25pm): “At the moment, he’s in a team that’s in the relegation play-offs: ‘Tottenham will have a massive say, he’ll play all over the place.

“If you ask Tottenham fans which of the teams they would rather win the league for, it would be Man City or Liverpool.

“They won’t want Arsenal to win the Premier League and I think they will have a say in all three games. They will be competitive. On their day they can beat anyone.”

My take: Liverpool and Manchester City are ahead of Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title
In my opinion, Liverpool and Manchester City are ahead of Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool and City have the experience to do the job. Arsenal failed in the final weeks of last season.

In addition, Liverpool and City have two of the best and strongest goalscorers. Erling Haaland is the Citizens’ goal machine, while the Reds have a legend in Mohamed Salah.

It is true that Arsenal have a very good defence and have beaten Burnley and West Ham United in recent weeks, but they do not have a clinical and top-class striker.
