David Moyes was considered relatively safe with West Ham in the top six and several European knockout games to come. Then, rather unwisely, he was knocked out of the FA Cup and started a run of five games without a win in the Premier League, which ended with a 6-0 victory over Arsenal.
For a long time it was all about Moyes, but now the pendulum has definitely swung back in the direction of Moyes Out. It still seems that West Ham are waiting for any excuse, which they may now have.
The 2-0 boyhood defeat that followed at Nottingham Forest was arguably worse in its own less dramatic way. It’s also worth noting that we’re already here with names that are thought to be less likely to be next out than that no one else will be going by the end of the season.
