“Lack of availability of quality managers puts Ange on the edge….”- Amids latest report, Ange Postecoglou makes tough ‘Decision’ on quiting Tottenham after…..

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly “decided” whether to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer.

The former Celtic boss was appointed as Tottenham Hotspur’s new permanent head coach before this season.

Optimism at Spurs waned during the reigns of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte as fans were forced to watch the game in a negative style.

Under Postecoglou, Spurs have exceeded expectations as the Australian manager has successfully overhauled their style of play and they have been one of the surprises of this season in the Premier League.

Tottenham have not faced European football this season and have been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, so they can focus on the Premier League until May. They are currently in the race to qualify for the Champions League, five points ahead of fourth-placed Aston Villa and a game clear.

Postecoglou is likely to be a candidate for Premier League manager of the season and has also been mentioned as a potential candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Back in 2013, he admitted that he was a “big Liverpool fan” as a child. He said: ‘I grew up supporting Liverpool as well and I think I’m a manager today because of the football club.

“I grew up with the stories of Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley and the Boot Room, Ronnie Moran, Joe Fagan, Roy Evans, all those guys.

“That philosophy has stayed with me. They were playing possession football before it was fashionable in the world.”

Despite this, Football Insider reports that “Postecoglou has decided to accept Liverpool’s offer”, saying he will “reject” all offers to leave Spurs in the summer. The report adds: “The report says ‘Postogouluc’ will be retracting his decision.

“Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou will reject all offers to leave in the summer, including from Liverpool, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources told Football Insider that Postecoglou has no plans to leave Tottenham, Liverpool or any other club in the summer.

He is ‘happy and content’ with the Londoners and is grateful for the support he has had since taking over at the club, as well as the opportunity to make a big mark in the Premier League at an elite club. Postecoglou is said to be fully committed to the project at Spurs and is expected to continue the hugely impressive work from his debut campaign.

The former Celtic boss has three years left on his contract, although as Football Insider revealed last month, he does not have a release clause in his contract. Spurs would not accept any offers of compensation for their manager, who has won fans over with the exciting style of play he has introduced since being appointed last season.

“Football Insider revealed on 27 January that Xabi Alonso is the leading candidate to take over at Liverpool, but his appointment is far from final as Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also looking for a new manager for next season.
