Jamie Carragher names the ONE unusual Arsenal player that’s making Mikel Arteta’s team score plenty of goals in 2024 after putting 6 past helpless Sheffield United, NOT Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli or Declan Rice

Jamie Carragher gives his opinion on Arsenal star Kai Havertz after watching the game against Sheffield United.

Arsenal beat Sheffield United 6-0 in the Premier League on Monday night.

Kai Havertz was one of the scorers. The German international found the back of the net in the 25th minute.

The 24-year-old, who joined Arsenal from London Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023, also provided an assist.

Jamie Carragher spoke about Arsenal star Kai Havertz:

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher watched the game for Sky Sports and noticed that Havertz, who plays as a false nine, is helping Arsenal score more goals.

Carragher said that since Gabriel Jesus hasn’t started, Arsenal have been scoring goals for fun.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in February, beat West Ham United 6-0 at the London Stadium, destroyed Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor and beat Newcastle United 4-1 in north London. Jesus did not start any of these games.

Carragher told Sky Sports News (22:18, 4 March 2024) of Havertz: “He used to be in the games he played in: ‘You have to remember that since Havertz has come back into the team he hasn’t always scored goals. Today he got his goals, but Arsenal have started to score a lot of goals since Jesus left the team, and in a certain sense it’s almost like playing without a striker.”

Arsenal have found a way not to rely on one goalscorer:

Arsenal does not have a top striker or goalscorer like Liverpool and Manchester City. While Mohamed Salah scores goals for fun for the Reds, Erling Haaland is a goal-scoring machine for the Citizens.

Gabriel Jesus is not a prolific striker and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has found a way to make all attacking players score goals.

Bukayo Saka has scored 16 goals for Arsenal in all competitions this season and Leandro Trossard has found the net ten times.

Martin Odegaard has scored nine goals, while Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz have each scored eight.
