Odsonne Edouard, once a celebrated figure at Celtic, now finds himself in a precarious position just three years after his £14 million transfer to Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old striker has struggled to secure a regular starting role under multiple managers at Selhurst Park, leading to a loan move to Leicester City earlier this season.
However, his fortunes have not improved; Edouard has made only six appearances for the Foxes, with a solitary start in the Carabao Cup.
Leicester’s head coach, Ruud van Nistelrooy, is reportedly considering terminating Edouard’s loan, which would send him back to Crystal Palace.
However, Palace manager Oliver Glasner has made it clear that Edouard does not feature in his plans.
Glasner stated: “If he’s not playing at Leicester, then why should he play for Crystal Palace?” He advised Edouard and his agent to seek opportunities elsewhere, emphasizing that returning to Palace without game time would be counterproductive.
This situation leaves Edouard in a challenging position, as he must now find a new club willing to offer him the playing time he needs to revive his career.
The lack of interest from both Leicester and Crystal Palace underscores the difficulties he faces in re-establishing himself in top-flight football.
