With the winter transfer window nearing its conclusion, Celtic have not yet made the expected moves despite their inconsistent form and a noticeable dip in performances in recent months.

However, there is still time, and it seems likely that significant activity could unfold at Parkhead in the next week-and-a-half.

One of the big talking points is the possibility of Kieran Tierney returning to the club. Meanwhile, Alex Valle appears to be heading for the exit.

Valle, who joined Celtic on a season-long loan from FC Barcelona in the summer, might see his stint cut short to facilitate a move to Italy midway through the campaign.

According to Fabrizio Romano, “Como’s next signing is expected to be Alex Valle. The deal is being sealed with all parties involved, Celtic to break the loan and then Barcelona for the new loan.”

Fabrizio Romano confirms Celtic player will leave this winter:

Valle has made an impression with his performances for Celtic, and many believe he should have been starting ahead of Greg Taylor.

Yet, if Tierney were to return this month, Valle’s opportunities on the pitch would likely diminish further. Under such circumstances, a departure seems logical.

This potential exit could also hint at Tierney being close to a much-anticipated return to Celtic. The coming days will reveal how this situation evolves as the transfer window edges closer to its end.

At the same time, it’s worth noting that Greg Taylor’s future at the club remains uncertain. His current contract is reportedly set to expire in the summer, and the Scottish left-back—who has faced criticism from fans—has been linked with several clubs.
